New Beginnings

All our Cavapoo puppies have begun their new lives with lovely new families. I wondered if we could find such nice people for this litter as we did for our shih tzu litter last Cristmas and it caused me many sleepless nights! I am delighted to report that the families for our Cavapoos are all wonderful and I am confident these puppies are being loved and cared for as much as they were when they were here :)  They were all wonderful characters and are thriving and enjoying exploring this new w...

The boys have arrived!

Well, Ludo arrived on Thursday and Raffi arrived Friday.  They are two of the boys from Mabel's Christmas litter and are now 6 months old.  They have come for two weeks while their families are away. These boys have not seen each other since they left us at 8 weeks, but after an hour of meeting they are inseparable and playing constantly, it's so cute. My girls have accepted them really well and so our family has grown temporatily.

We are all watching Isla like a hawk to try to see a change in her behaviour that tells us she's in pup!  She has become a bit more clingy, but her appetite has increased, when it should decrease at the start of pregnancy! lol we will just have to wait and see. 

I took Panda (one of our shih tzu) for a mating at the weekend. It did not go quite as well as planned, so more waiting and watching to see if we have been lucky!

Fingers crossed

Really hoping Isla is now in pup after a sucessful mating this weekend.  This will be a litter of Cavapoos and has taken a great deal of planning and thought.  Whilst I love the Cavalier breed, I have spent 5 years researching the health issues and health testing.  I have come to the conclusion, that however much health testing is done, not enough is currently known about the way some of these genetic disorders are passed on.  The idea that a Cavalier pup may develop one of these awful condit...
